It's officially the final long weekend of the summer (insert tears) and while we think we made the most of our favourite season we can't help but feel like we need to really finish with a bang aka do something fun this weekend!
If you're feeling the same, or you think that you missed out on anything this summer, we've got your back.
Here are our top 5 activities to do in The Lower Mainland this weekend.
Hit up Playland
Playland has over 20 rides and is open all weekend! Tickets cost $29.50 for access to the kiddo and family friendly rides, or $39.50 for all rides including the *scarier* ones. Make sure you book your tickets in advance because ti is first come first serve.
Check out a Farmer's Market
We think one of the best parts about summer are the abundance of farmers markets, this weekend is supposed to be beautiful outside so it's the perfect opportunity to get outside, support local vendors, and pick up some seasonal produce before we transition into fall.
Attend a Whitecaps Game
Sports are finally back (yay) and the Vancouver Whitecaps are playing this Saturday, September 04, 2021 at 4:00 PM. PSA: face masks are mandatory and tickets do need to be purchased ahead of time!
Fill your tummy at Langley Community Block Party
If you're in the Fraser Valley area, there is a food truck block party on Saturday and Sunday this weekend at CLA Church Langley, located at 21277 56 Avenue. There will be a rotating selection of food trucks, Live rotating music, seated eating and a sprawling vendor market via BC Shop Local.
Get into the fall spirit at The Apple Barn in Abbotsford
As of September 1st, Tave's Family Farm Apple Barn is open every single day offering hay rides, u-pick apples, three corn mazes, Farmville, jumping pillows, the petting barn, and pumpkins.
Summer isn't over quite yet, we still have a few more weeks of the best season ever, which means there are only a few more weeks to order our taster pack until next summer! So make sure you stock up on freezies to power you through to fall!
