Vegan Friendly Frozen Desserts


We sound like a broken record but SUMMER IS COMING!!

So we wanted to share our top favourite frozen desserts and treats, to help you stay cool and satisfied this season. All of the recipes are vegan friendly and super easy to make because we know you have better things to do!

Chocolate Coconut Vegan Ice Cream

Ingredients:

2 cans full fat coconut milk
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions:
  1. Pour coconut milk into freezer safe molds or ice cube trays, and freeze overnight.
  2. Blend frozen coconut milk with all other ingredients except for chocolate chips.
  3. Pour into a freezer safe container or dish, fold in chocolate chips, freeze until set and then enjoy!

Frozen Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana Bites

Ingredients:

3 ripe bananas

1/2 cup dairy free chocolate chips

2 tbsp coconut oil

1/3 cup peanut butter (we like creamy and natural)

Instructions:

  1. Slice the bananas into 1/2 inch coins and lay flat on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  2. Spread peanut butter on half the banana coins, then top with another piece of banana to make little sandwiches then freeze for 1 hour.
  3. Melt the chocolate and coconut oil together in a double boiler or microwave safe dish.
  4. Dip each banana sandwich half way into the chocolate and then lay flat on the parchment lined baking sheet.
  5. Place back in the freezer until set then enjoy!

Vegan Strawberry Milkshake Popsicles

Ingredients:

1 cup strawberries

1/2 cup almond milk

1 tbsp maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup non dairy yogurt

Instructions:

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. Pour into popsicle molds and freeze until set!

Chocolate Vanilla Swirl Chia Pudding Popsicles

Ingredients:

1.5 cups coconut milk
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
8 ounces thick vegan yogurt
¼ cup maple syrup
Pinch of salt
¼ cup chia seeds
1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Divide coconut milk, yogurt and chia seeds into two separate bowls, and whisk to combine.
  2. Add the cocoa powder to one bowl and the cinnamon and vanilla extract to the other, whisk both mixtures until combined, then let set for 20 minutes.
  3. Spoon each mixture into popsicle molds, switching flavours with each spoonful (vanilla, then chocolate, and so on).
  4. Place in the freezer until frozen and set!
